Grand Hôtel du Bout du Monde
An engagement announced the old way — by telegram — at the Grand Hôtel du Bout du Monde. Seventy-two guests, six designs, eight weeks, and a format so charming the RSVPs arrived faster than any event we’d run that season.
What we handled
The whole flow
From the first brief to arrival.
The brief
STOP. ENGAGED. STOP. CELEBRATE WITH US. STOP. — the invitation as a telegram, with menu, place cards, save-the-date and thank-yous to match.
The telegram, sent
The suite approved and dispatched. The RSVP link answered in telegram style; half the replies arrived within 48 hours.
The list, settled
Seventy-two guests, meal choices and toasts collected. The two quiet households got one perfectly-worded reminder each.
The terrace turns to rain
The hotel moved dinner from the terrace to the salon. A telegram-styled update went to all 72 guests within the hour — URGENT. LOCATION CHANGED. CHAMPAGNE UNCHANGED. STOP.
The telegram, delivered
One salon, seventy-two guests, two people engaged — and a couple whose only planning artifact was a stack of approvals.
