Whoever prints it

Two colours: Polar Navy and Arctic Rose, on natural uncoated stock. 300gsm for the invitation, 250gsm for the save the date, and the reply card carries a real tear line. Uncoated and tactile throughout — nothing laminated, nothing gloss. A telegram is a working document; a shine turns it into a souvenir.

Anyone using the colours

Navy is structure, never a field. It is the band across the top, the band at the foot, and every line of type — it is never printed on. There is no navy on navy. Rose leads in millimetres: the 2mm rule under the band, the italic ampersand, one word such as Urgent. There is no sixth colour on paper.

Anyone reproducing the mark

The two flamingos sit in the sender block only, left of the dispatch text, at 36 × 52px on every piece. Never enlarged, never centred, never used as a logo. There is no monogram and no pair of initials anywhere in this identity — the birds do that job, and they do it quietly.

Anyone writing a line

Wire-service register, held with a completely straight face. A guest is a recipient, an RSVP is a reply, attendance is a matter of record. The joke is never signalled — deadpan, never winked at, and no exclamation marks.

The visual identity at a glance

Two inks, and four supporting tones

Match to the printed piece, not to these squares. This is a two-colour job on uncoated stock and no screen shows that honestly — hold the drawdown.

Stationery arriving

The counts above are per household or per cover, not per guest, and the final numbers come from the confirmed list. This event is over 200 people and the household count is materially smaller than the head count — ask the studio for the reconciled figure before you order, rather than multiplying.

The numbering

Every piece carries a transmission number and they run in sequence through the event — I for the save the date, XII for the invitation, XII-M, XII-P, XII-T for the menu, the place card and the thank you. If a new piece is added it takes the next number in that series; it does not invent its own.

The tear line

Real, not printed. The reply card is meant to come apart, and the stub is the half the guest keeps.

The band

40px solid navy at the head, a 2px rose rule beneath, and a second navy band at the foot. That structure is the identity — a piece without it is not in the suite.

The venue

The Grand Hôtel du Bout du Monde is written exactly that way, with the circumflex, on every piece.

Please do not

• No navy on navy. Navy is structure and type — never a field to print on.
• No nested cream fields, and no warm-to-white gradients.
• No enlarging, centring or re-colouring the flamingos. Sender block, 36 × 52px, and nowhere else.
• No monogram, no initials mark, no crest.
• No sixth colour on paper — the terracotta lives in the photographs and was never printed.
• No lamination, no gloss, no varnish.
• No signalling the joke. Deadpan throughout, and no exclamation marks anywhere.
