First
communion.

Usually a shared parish Mass with a dozen other families — which changes almost everything about the stationery.

How do you plan a first communion celebration?

The Mass date is set by the parish, often months ahead and shared with the child's whole class. Plan the celebration around it and send invitations three to four weeks ahead. Because the Mass is shared, the invitation must say clearly where to find you afterwards — that, rather than the service, is where guests get lost.

The pieces.

  • The invitation — with the Mass time e the celebration address, both explicit.
  • A keepsake or memory card — the child's name and the date. Frequently kept for life.
  • Place cards — for a seated family lunch, which most are.
  • Thank-you cards — an excellent first exercise in handwriting for a seven-year-old.

Let the child do the inviting if they want to. "I am making my First Holy Communion" is entirely correct and suits an occasion that is explicitly about the child. Keep the practical detail beneath in the parents' voice.

Common questions

Should we mention gifts?
No. Gifts are traditional and unprompted; asking changes the occasion.
How formal should the stationery be?
Less formal than a wedding, more than a birthday. It is a sacrament followed by a family lunch, and the card should feel like both.
What if the parish Mass time changes?
It happens. Confirm the week before, and this is exactly why an event page or a phone number on the card is worth the space.

Communion stationery is a keepsake before it is an invitation. Evorrah designs it from a brief rather than a catalogue.
