Sweet sixteen
wording.

The invitation is for the sixteen-year-old's friends, but it is read by their parents — and it has to work for both.

How do you word a sweet sixteen invitation?

Either the parents invite or the guest of honour does — both are correct, and the choice sets the tone. Whichever you pick, the card must carry end time, address and a parent's contact number, because the people deciding whether their child attends are the parents reading it over their shoulder.

The version most sixteen-year-olds want, and it is entirely correct. Keep the practical detail beneath in a quieter, plainer voice.

More formal, and the better choice when the guest list includes family and adults as well as school friends.

The single most useful block on a teenage party invitation, and the one most often left off. Parents need an end time and a name to call.

Common questions

Should we mention gifts?
"No gifts, just you" is common and lands well at this age. If there is a charity collection instead, say so plainly.
How do we handle plus-ones?
Address the invitation to the named friend only. At this age plus-ones expand the guest list very quickly and unpredictably.
Digital or printed?
Send both. The printed card is for the parents and the keepsake; the digital one is what actually reaches the friends.

A design that is genuinely theirs.

A sixteenth is the first party most people get to shape themselves. Evorrah designs from a brief, so the result looks like the person rather than a template.
