The door, on the night.
Each guest arrives carrying their own code, on their own invitation or arrival pass, in your event’s design. The door checks it against the list, says one of five clear things at arm’s length, and the count moves while the queue does.
The live door — the staff link, each guest’s code and the scanner — is part of Fully Handled, and is not included in Essentials or The Whole Event. The printed recovery pack, which needs no signal and no app, comes with every plan.
What the door says.
Five outcomes, each a large, distinct signal readable in bad light with a queue behind it.
Admitted
First time through. The arrival time is written once, and a second scan never overwrites it.
Already in
Admitted before — and when, so staff can say so. Two doors see each other: a guest who walks between them is seen, not counted twice.
Not this code
A code you replaced, a code for a different event tonight, or one we never issued. Each is its own message, so staff know what to say.
Not on the list
A name is searched, not turned away. Who is admitted is your decision, made on the night by the person you trust with the door.
Door staff see names, not your guests.
One link, one verb
A doorman holds a link that can do exactly one thing — check guests in at one event — until it expires, up to seventy-two hours later.
What it shows
Names, table numbers and who has already arrived: enough to find a guest. It does not show an address, a phone number, a dietary note, a message or the full list.
Revoked in one press
A phone is lost: revoke, and every door link for the event stops at once, including yours. Then issue another.
Zones, if you have them
A VIP room or a rope line is a tier on the guest, and a door can be told which tier it admits.
When the venue wifi goes.
Without
A check-in app that stops when the signal does, and a doorman reading an error message to a queue. Or the fallback: a printed list, a pen, and no count anyone trusts by ten o’clock.
With Evorrah
A scan with no signal is queued on the phone, shown in amber, and sent the moment the signal returns; the first scan still wins. And before the night, a recovery pack prints — the whole list, households expanded, table by table — in case every phone in the building dies at once.
Rehearsed, on purpose.
We can tell you the door keeps working when the wifi drops. So can anyone.
The only version of that claim worth anything is the one you watch happen. At the rehearsal we break it on purpose — the signal, the device, the credential — and record what healed, and how fast.
The count you see is expected against arrived, by household, live. It is the same arithmetic the recap reads afterwards, so the number at the door and the number in the report are one number.

What it will not do.
A doorway is where a product’s promises are tested by strangers in the dark. These are standing rules, not settings.
