A wedding in Bali for two families separated by an ocean — and joined by one. The Water Between Us moved 148 guests from 11 countries to Six Senses Uluwatu, and the couple’s part of the operation fit inside their evenings.

The brief
Two families, Lyon and Mumbai, one clifftop in Bali. Nine designs, four days, and a single instruction from the couple: “nobody should feel far from home.”
The website as travel desk
Flights, visas, transfers, dress codes, weather — a destination site that answered questions before they became messages. RSVP opened with travel intent, not just attendance.
148 guests, 11 countries
Households organized by arrival city; transfer manifests built from RSVP data. A welcome note prepared for every arriving household.
The monsoon calendar moved
Long-range forecasts pushed the ceremony three hours earlier. Every timeline, transfer and vendor call updated; all 148 guests informed in under an hour, each on the contact they had given us.
The final wave
Late deciders chased across time zones at civilised local hours. Final count 148, with every dietary and seating note attached.
Four days above the water
Welcome dinner, ceremony, beach day, farewell brunch — each with its own arrival list and run-of-show. The couple’s phones stayed in their room. That was the point.
