Evorrah vs Paperless Post vs Minted vs Zola: Which Should You Use?
Four companies that all touch invitations and are not really competing at the same thing — with the situations where each of the other three is the better choice, stated plainly.
Four companies that all touch invitations and are not really competing at the same thing — with the situations where each of the other three is the better choice, stated plainly.
These four companies get compared constantly and are, on inspection, four different products that happen to all touch invitations. One is a template library. One is a printer with an artist marketplace attached. One is a wedding ecosystem built around a registry. One is a design studio with a guest platform. The useful question is not which is best — it is which problem you actually have.
Digital-only is fine and a well-made template is all the design the occasion needs. Thousands of designs, sent in an afternoon, with real-time RSVP tracking. A birthday drinks invitation going out Thursday does not need a commissioned suite.
One company handles the whole physical chain — letterpress, foil, digital and gloss printing, envelopes with free recipient addressing, shipped to your door. You choose from existing artist designs rather than commissioning one.
A free wedding website, a registry and a free guest-list manager in one place, with invitations from the same ecosystem. Nothing here competes with the registry — if that is the spine of your planning, this is the right home.
An original suite drawn from your brief with no template stage, carried across every piece and every guest, with RSVP, households, seating and messaging included rather than sold as extras. You arrange your own printing.
| Paperless Post | Digital invitations from a library of thousands of customisable templates, sent online with real-time RSVP tracking and guest messaging. Paper versions are available through a partnership with Paper Source. A Paperless Pro subscription covers unlimited premium designs. |
| Minted | A design marketplace of independent artists whose work Minted prints and ships — letterpress, foil-pressed, digital and gloss-pressed, priced by quantity, paper and method, with free recipient addressing on envelopes. Designs can be customised and illustrations commissioned, but the starting point is an existing design. |
| Zola | A wedding ecosystem: a free wedding website, a registry, and a free guest-list manager with online RSVP, plus printed invitations and save the dates. Seating charts and premium guest texting are paid add-ons on top of the free core. |
| Evorrah | A design house with its own guest platform. A designer draws an original suite for your occasion from a brief — no template stage — delivered as print-ready CMYK and digital files, with the guest platform included in one flat per-event price. Evorrah does not print; files go to any printer you choose, with the specification written for them. |
A tick in four columns hides the thing you came to find out. Every row below says what the capability actually amounts to, because "has RSVP" is true of all four and tells you almost nothing.

Scroll the table sideways to see all four. Strong — a leading version of the capability. Available — present and adequate. Limited — partial, or priced separately. Not offered — no equivalent found.
This is the difference that produces most of the others, and it is not a matter of quality. Minted's artists are genuinely good; Paperless Post's library is genuinely well made. The difference is the starting point.
All three of the others begin with something that already exists — a template, an artist's design, a customisable layout — and you make it yours by changing the words, the colours and the photograph. That is a fast, low-risk and usually excellent way to get a beautiful invitation. For most events it is the right trade.
Evorrah begins with a brief and an empty page. Two original moodboard directions arrive within 48 hours, you choose one, and the suite is drawn from that direction within five business days. No other couple has your suite, because it did not exist before your brief. The cost of that is time, and the absence of a gallery: you cannot browse Evorrah's designs and point at the one you want, because yours has not been drawn yet. Some people find that exciting and some find it uncomfortable, and it is worth knowing which you are before commissioning anything.
All four collect RSVPs. The difference is how far that information travels afterwards, and this is where a feature list misleads most.
On a template platform, an RSVP is a row in a list. You export it, and everything downstream — the seating plan, the caterer's numbers, the place cards, the day-of messages — happens somewhere else, usually a spreadsheet, and every one of those handoffs is a chance for the count to drift. Zola closes part of that loop: the guest list, the website and the RSVPs are one system, and a seating chart can be added for $14.99.
Evorrah's version is that the reply is not the end of the chain. A guest scans the QR code printed on their own invitation, which opens a page addressed to them; their answer updates the household, the household updates the seating chart, and the table they are given appears on the place card that gets printed. The same list feeds the messaging. One number carried forward, rather than five copies of it drifting apart.
Whether that is worth anything depends entirely on scale. For sixty guests a spreadsheet is fine, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. At four hundred, across a welcome dinner, a ceremony and a brunch, it stops being fine.
Minted's advantage here is real and Evorrah has no answer to it. Minted designs, prints, addresses and ships in one transaction. You do nothing but approve a proof. For a lot of people that is worth more than anything on the design side, and if it is worth more to you, the decision is already made.
Evorrah sends files: print-ready 300 dpi CMYK PDFs, digital versions sized for screen and email, and a specification sheet telling a printer exactly what stock, what finish and what ink. That means finding a printer, getting a quote and managing a proof yourself. In exchange the prices sit below what a stationer charges, there is no shipping deadline, and stock, finish and quantity stay in your hands — you can put the same design on handmade cotton or on something ordinary, and the studio is not deciding that for you.
It is a genuine trade, not a hidden advantage. If the phrase "find a local printer" makes your shoulders tense, choose Minted.
| The event is this week | Paperless Post. |
| An existing design, printed, addressed and shipped | Minted. |
| Registry-first planning, on a budget | Zola. |
| Original design, one identity everywhere, guests run from the same place | Evorrah. |
| A large non-wedding event — a gala, a launch, a milestone | Evorrah or Paperless Post, depending on whether design or speed matters more. |
| A designer you already trust | Keep them — and hand them the suite checklist. |
How this comparison was made. Claims about Paperless Post, Minted and Zola were checked against those companies' own public pages on 12 August 2026, and nothing is stated here that we could not find them stating themselves. Where a capability could not be confirmed either way, the table says so rather than guessing — absence of evidence is recorded as absence of evidence, not as a missing feature. Third-party prices are as listed on that date and change without notice.
Disclosure. Evorrah publishes this page and sells one of the four products, which is a reason to read it sceptically. The correction for that is not to pretend otherwise but to be specific and checkable: every Evorrah claim above appears on our own pricing page, limitations included. If something here is wrong or has gone out of date, write to hello@evorrah.com and we will correct it and change the date.
Only for part of what Paperless Post does. Both send invitations digitally and track RSVPs. But Paperless Post is a template library you send from in minutes, and Evorrah is a design house that draws an original suite for your event over about a week. If you need something sent today, Paperless Post is the right tool and Evorrah is not.
Yes, and it is included with every plan rather than sold separately. RSVP tracking, households and plus-ones, a seating chart built from the replies, personal guest QR codes and guest messaging come with all 26 plan combinations. Plan size changes how many guests are carried — 200 at Starter up to 2,000 at Grande — and nothing else.
Evorrah designs printed invitations but does not print or ship them. You receive print-ready 300 dpi CMYK PDFs and a printer specification sheet, and you take them to any printer you like — the guide to print methods covers what to ask them for. If you want one company to design, print and post the invitations for you, Minted does that and Evorrah does not.
No. Zola's registry is its own product and Evorrah has nothing equivalent. If the registry and a free wedding website are the centre of your planning, Zola is the better home for it. Evorrah overlaps with Zola only on invitations, RSVP, seating and guest messaging.
Evorrah, on guest capacity and on holding one design across many touchpoints — plans carry up to 2,000 guests and every piece is drawn from the same direction. Zola's tools are strong but built around a wedding. For a 600-person gala or brand launch, Zola and Minted's wedding framing stops fitting well before the guest count does.
