Two ways into the room — choose the one that feels like the club.

The world of the day

Fruita i Tinta

The club's first printed matter should feel like the label off a crate of the island's best oranges — hand-drawn by one steady hand, printed warm on cotton, discovered rather than announced.

cotton rag, two-ink bite — the only texture this world uses
The launch light — "Es Ponent" means "the west"; the terrace faces the sunset, so golden hour is a fact of the room, not a filter laid over it.
One illustration, used perfectly — a single blood-orange study, hatched by hand and inked in terracotta: the club's own signature (Vermut de la Casa, the Terracotta pour) carried by one mark instead of six — the Le Sirenuse discipline of restraint.
The one terracotta — the warm ink is rationed to the emblem and the card's edges; everything around it stays calm cotton, so the label reads as found, not shouted.
How this world lands
InvitationThe crate label itself — citrus-and-olive emblem, PSC crate-stamp, two-ink letterpress on deckled cotton.
SuiteMenu, bar and programme read as a market list — the shared supper set as the day's produce, one long column.
Signage & spaceA hand-painted rooftop board in the same hand; the olive-tree pots tagged like crates of produce.
DigitalRSVP page and WhatsApp share carry the emblem; warm cream ground, olive and terracotta only.
Guest arcArrive to the label on the door → the long table is the reveal → leave having found the cat.
Still open in this world
  • Whether one blood orange can carry a whole club. The restraint is the argument — one mark instead of six. A social club runs for years, and a single fruit has to still be the right mark next September.
  • Whether a crate label reads as “found” or as costume. Discovered rather than announced is the intent, and a hand-hatched citrus label in two inks is also a very familiar look.
  • Whether golden hour can be printed. The launch light is a fact of the terrace, not a filter — and every piece has to hold that warmth indoors, on cotton, in whatever light the room has.
  • Whether the hand-painted rooftop board can be by the same hand. One steady hand is the system. A painted board at architectural scale is a different craftsperson unless somebody has been asked.

The world of the dusk

El Segell

The club is a secret you are let into by touch — a single crest blind-debossed into cotton, felt before it is read, the discretion of a members' room that does not advertise.

In the imagery
cotton rag, blind deboss — no ink, so the crest is felt first
The quieter truth — Marina ran a members' programme for eight years; this world is the discretion of a room that does not advertise, the terrace at the hour it empties of everyone but its own.
Struck, not drawn — the PSC crest is blind-debossed with no ink at all, meant to be felt under the thumb before it is read; the beaded rim is what keeps it legible all the way down to a wax stamp.
Blue, rationed — the brief warns against pastel-blue washes, so the deep Mediterranean blue appears once, as a single structural rule — never a ground, never a wash.
How this world lands
InvitationCotton card, blind-debossed PSC seal, one deep-blue rule, deckled edge — the crest found by touch.
SuiteStone ground throughout; one blue rule divides each card; the seal small at every foot.
Signage & spaceA single embossed brass plate at the door — no banner; the club named quietly.
DigitalLaunch page stone-pale with the seal; blue reserved for the one line that matters.
Guest arcFeel the seal at the door → the quiet terrace is the reveal → depart a founding member.
Still open in this world
  • Whether a blind seal survives being a founding-members invitation. Felt before it is read is the discretion of a room that does not advertise — and this is the one piece whose job is to advertise.
  • Whether a beaded rim can be struck at small sizes. The fine rim is what makes the crest a seal rather than a shape, and it is the first detail a deboss loses on the smaller pieces.
  • Whether one blue rule is enough colour for a launch in September. Sand on sand is the restraint; the terrace at blue hour is the photograph. The paper is quieter than the room by some distance.
  • Whether discretion reads as exclusive or as unfinished. That is the real risk in this world and it depends entirely on who is holding the card, which has not been tested with any of the founding members.

The choice

What the choice turned on

A members' club's first printed matter. One world is found in a market; the other is felt at a door.

A — Fruita i TintaBUILT

You want the club discovered — the label off a crate of the island's best oranges, hand-drawn by one steady hand, two inks on warm cotton. Busy label, calm card.

B — El Segell

You want the club entered — a single crest blind-debossed into cotton, felt before it is read, with blue rationed to one rule. Discretion is the welcome.
