Every piece below is a translation of one card — the bar menu. A narrow cobalt panel says what the object is; a wide white panel carries the real information, ranked. Bougainvillea is spent exactly once per piece and never over information, and white is structural throughout: it is the grout, not the paper left over.
They are laid out in the order a guest actually meets them, rather than in the order they were made.
What arrives in the post. Five objects doing the work of one envelope — the loud one, the quiet one, and the three that answer a guest’s practical questions.
The first things a guest meets at Villa Tasca. This is where the split stops being a card and becomes architecture.
The longest stretch of the evening, and the only place the design is read at leisure rather than at a glance.
