If you read one part

- Matte uncoated board, chamfered corners on every piece, blind
deboss for the pressure, and the green as a spot fluoro screen print in ONE pass.
This direction carries no foil at all. Chrome is real foil or it is absent — it is never
faked as a printed grey. No rounded corners, no borders, no gradients, no drop shadows.
- Anyone laying out
- Green strikes something out. That is all it ever does. It is
never a type colour, never a fill, never a background, and there is never more than one hit on a
piece. Type is set so large it crops off the edge — the eye completes the word. Primary lines are
never lower case.
- Production and lighting
- Forty-foot ceilings, raw concrete, one wall left as original
corrugated steel, lit almost entirely by projection and moving heads. The pieces are matte black
and will be read in that light — nothing here should be expected to catch a highlight.
- The door
- The invitation IS the ticket. It admits one. There are no plus ones.
That is printed on the card and it governs how many are printed — see the note under the table.
- Anyone tempted to make it fashion
- Please do not. No lipstick marks, no hangers, no
mannequins, nothing distressed to look worn. It should read as a warning label, not an invitation.

The visual identity at a glance
The system
Signal green is not a colour in this system. It is an
action. It always strikes something out. It comes from the cease-and-desist that became the origin
myth — an order to stop, turned into the brand's own mark. White carries display and every primary
line at 19.6:1; filing grey carries notice body and document numbers down to the 8pt floor at 7.18:1.
There is no ground other than matte black.

Match to the printed piece, not to these squares. These are screen
values. The green is a spot fluoro and no screen shows it correctly — if you are matching anything,
hold the real card under the real light.

⚠ Count invitations PER PERSON, not per address. The brand default for an
invitation is one per household — a couple at one address is one card. That
default is wrong for this event. The card says THIS CARD ADMITS ONE. NO PLUS ONES, so two people
living at one address need two cards. Print 350 plus spares, not one per envelope.
Every printed piece carries the QR at
bottom right — small, functional, and it goes to the drop. It is not decoration and it is not
optional.
Day-of notes
The night
Front row is assigned; everything behind it is standing. The four rows are named for the brand's
first four graphics:

- Two held seats
- There are two unnamed holds in STATIC for surprise musical guests.
They stay unnamed on every printed and displayed chart. Do not fill them, and do not label them
“reserved”.
- Seated / standing
- 120 seated in the four named rows, 230 standing. The seating chart
exists as a poster and on a screen; both carry the same four names.
- Eight blocks
- The Foundry is eight blocks from the Boyle Heights storage unit where VOID
was screen-printed out of a duffel bag in 2021. That is the reason for the venue, not a
coincidence, and it is worth knowing if anyone asks.
- Material
- Rigid heavyweight matte board, chamfered corners, blind deboss, spot fluoro
green in one pass, printed addressing. No foil in this direction.
Please do not
Do not
- No script or serif fonts.
- No gold, no rose gold, no warm metallic. Chrome and silver only, and only as real foil.
- No gradients, no drop shadows, no rounded corners.
- No borders and no frames.
- No lower case on a primary line.
- No fashion-show clichés — no lipstick marks, no hangers, no mannequin motifs.
- Nothing textured to look distressed. Wear is real or it is absent.
- Nothing that could be mistaken for a wedding or a gala invitation.
- Green as type, as a fill, as a background, or twice on one piece.
