The Caldwell Splash
Vendor guide
If you are reading only one part
- Florist / plants
- The palette below, and one rule: this event has no florals in the
stationery at all. The suite's only ornament is a sunburst crest. If you are bringing green,
bring desert planting — agave, citrus, oleander — not cut arrangements.
- Venue stylist
- The palette, and the note under Day-of notes about the crest: it is
never repeated and never tiled. One per surface, large, or not at all. Umbrellas, towels and
cushions should pick up terracotta and aqua — the brass yellow is a highlight, not a third colour.
- Photographer
- The stationery list below is the shot list. Worth a detail frame: the
invitation flat in full sun (it is built to be kept on a fridge), the favour tags — there is a
dachshund hidden in them — and the welcome sign before the first guest arrives. Golden hour behind
the San Jacintos is the light the whole design was drawn for.
- Planner / caterer
- Everything, plus the timing note: food runs as stations from 1:30 PM
and the frozen dessert cart circles at 4 PM sharp. The menu card is written as an
all-afternoon graze, not plated courses — please do not re-sequence it into services.

The visual identity at a glance
Sun-umbrella terracotta#E2725B
Kodachrome brown-black#2E2620
Typefaces: Josefin Slab (headings) and Raleway (text).
Sand cream is the ground of everything. Terracotta is the loud one and carries the crest;
aqua is the pool and is used in flat areas, never as type; brass yellow appears once per piece
at most — it is the dessert cart, not a colour of the event.
Match to the printed piece, not to these squares. The values above are screen values:
they are how the colour is specified, not how it will look under Palm Springs sun at two in the
afternoon. Ask for a printed piece before committing an order of linen, umbrellas or paint —
terracotta in particular reads considerably hotter outdoors than it does on a monitor.
Stationery arriving
| Piece | Trim | Quantity |
| Invitation | 5 × 7″ | one per household |
| Envelope + liner | to envelope size | as invitations |
| Welcome signage | 24 × 36″ | 1 |
| Menu card | 4 × 9″ | 53 |
| Bar & drink menu | 11.7 × 8.3″ | one per station |
| Place card | 2 × 3.5″ folded | 53 |
| Favour tags | 2 × 3.5″ | 53 |
Counts are 48 guests plus a proofing
margin. “One per household” is the envelope count, not the guest count — a couple at one address is
one invitation.
Day-of notes
- The crest
- The sunburst is the whole ornament — a hotel crest for a place that does not
exist. It sits centred and owns about three quarters of the card. It is never repeated and
never tiled. If you are producing anything additional — a sign, a bar card, a napkin — use it
once, large, or leave it off entirely.
- The conceit
- The whole suite reads as a guest folio for a 1962 desert hotel called
Hotel Mirada, invented from Daphne's own villa. Anything you add should sound like hotel
signage rather than party decoration — Pool Deck, Cart Service 4PM — never a slogan.
- Food
- Stations around the pool deck from 1:30 PM. The frozen dessert cart circles at
4 PM sharp; the menu card is deliberately written as an all-afternoon graze, so please keep the
stations open rather than closing one to open the next.
- Favour tags
- There is a small dachshund silhouette worked quietly into them — Martini,
Evorrah dog. It is meant to be found, not pointed at. Do not enlarge it or move it onto other pieces.
- Welcome signage
- Read from across the drive, so it wants a clear sightline from where cars
stop. Corner-rounded like the rest of the suite; if it is mounted, mount it square and low rather
than on a tall easel — Evorrah is single-storey and a high sign fights the roofline.
- Material
- Flat digital offset on rigid heavyweight board, corners rounded. Nothing in this
suite is laminated, foiled or textured — the flatness is the 1962 reference and it is deliberate.
